RoadCloud has received an order from Trafikverket to create data coverage for the Northern part of Sweden, in addition to an on-going 3-year order in southern Sweden. Naturally, Lapland is a very interesting region in terms of “bullet-proof” winter conditions and it serves as a winter testing area for the automotive industry. RoadCloud data coverage will include automotive winter testing cities such as Arjeplog and Arvidsjaur, and the highway towards Luleå.
The generated data set is a standard Roadcloud offering, including road surface condition and friction measured continuously by our in-house designed infrared spectrometer. The data will be available for the automotive industry developing advanced ADAS, such as road friction adaptive ACC and emergency braking systems optimized for slippery roads.
